Board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases, Dr. Talavera is also a seasoned academic practitioner, having held the positions of Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at both Beth Israel and Cabrini Medical Centers in Manhattan, and Chairman of the Department of Medicine, also at Cabrini. Dr. Talavera is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at his Alma Mater, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York City.
Featured in New York Magazine's and Castle Connolly Best Doctors of New York issue numerous times over ten years, Dr. Talavera is a noted asthma expert with approximately seventy (70) publications in peer reviewed journals and an established medical-legal expert.
Dr. Talavera presently works with patients hailing from the metropolitan area and abroad in a private, bilingual practice, located in Manhattan and Queens in New York City.
